Herb Jackson is one of North Carolina’s most celebrated and collected artists. He is a Raleigh native and graduate of Davidson College and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he earned his MFA. He taught studio art at Davidson for 42 years prior to his retirement to paint full time. His paintings are in a number of museum collections including the Victoria and Albert in London and the North Carolina Museum of Art among others. All works in this exhibition were done after 2000 and most have never been shown in North Carolina until now.
