Anne Wall Thomas, a native of Anson County, has been involved in art making from an early age.  She earned her undergraduate degree and her MFA at Woman’s College, now the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.  She is that art department’s first MFA grad in 1951.  Thomas did post graduate work at the University of Hawaii, the University of Georgia, the University of Southern California and New York University.  Works in this comprehensive retrospective exhibition span 69 years and include serigraphs, paintings, collages, photograms and sculpture.  She maintains a home and studio in Chapel Hill.
