Janis Goodman: New Directions

Janis Goodman, who claims Washington, D.C., and Raleigh as home, teaches art at the Corcoran School of Art in D.C. Her nature inspired paintings and installations have been shown extensively in the nation's capital as well as in New York and Maine, where she has worked every summer for the past two decades.

Anne Wall Thomas: A Retrospective

A native of Anson County, North Carolina, Anne Wall Thomas lives and works in Chapel Hill. She is the first MFA graduate of the art program at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where she studied under Gregory Ivy. She has worked for the past 65 years in screen printing, gouache, acrylic and collage. She has been in this gallery's stable for 20 years.

One Hundred Under 1000.

This marks the 17th edition of this very eclectic exhibition designed for collectors to acquire gifts of art for themselves and for friends and relatives. As in past years there will be a variety of work including paintings, drawings, sculpture, prints and photographs. Works by artists from our stable as well as some invited artists will comprise the exhibition and sale.

 

 

Silvia Heyden: Tapestry
    Yun-Dong Nam: Ceramic Pots

January 16th - February 24, 2014

Swiss born artist Silvia Heyden, whose name in North Carolina is synonymous with tapestry, will fill the gallery's walls with her colorful and textural fiber works. Also featured will be ceramic pots by Yun-Dong Nam, who has been the ceramics professor at the University of North Carolina for the past 20 years.
